Night Markets are very popular in my country. You are able to find one on any night of the week but the ones during the weekends are much bigger.

These night markets are allocated one day in the week in neighbourhoods. We too have one on a Sunday, but the food choices are limited. So, we drove out a little bit to one of the popular ones in this part of the city which is at Taman Tun Dr Ismail.

The road used for the night market is closed to accommodate the set-up of the stalls. So, if you go during the mornings and park on the allocated road unawares til evening, don't dream of driving out til after the night market closes. In fact, you might even get some dirty looks for being so inconsiderate.

You will find all kinds of everything, from food to clothes to kitchenware. There's even meat and poultry at this particular one.

They start setting up around 4pm and by 5pm it will be bustling. We were there around 6ish in the hopes of getting our favourite Nasi Beryani. Unfortunately, we were too late and they were already packing up.

The night market ends by 10pm latest unless of course the stall is done much earlier. It's definitely an experience and my SIL from Greece finds this a highlight of her visits. I think you might too, if you don't might the crowd.
