Going viral through spontaneous authenticity | JEANLUCSR 002

Fawaka Steemians and DTubers,

Today has been a fun day, as a Retweet by Gary Vaynerchuck had part Vaynernation popping in my notifications non-stop on Twitter.

For those that have no idea what the last sentence means, a quick explanation:

Twitter:

The (somewhat) forgotten platform, great for short 140… 280 character messages and stories. Once considered one of the 3 biggest Social Media channels.

Gary Vaynerchuk:

Entrepreneur with cult-like super powers and millions of followers across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.

Vaynernation:

Gary’s loyal fanbase that bought all of his shoes within the first 24 hours after the launch. Not a fanbase that just likes, but also acts accordingly.

So, today, a random tweet with no intention to get GaryVee’s attention, just one of his quotes with a reminder that his book launched today, received 70.000 impressions, 40 retweets and 230 likes in 10 hours time.

For someone that gets relatively limited interaction on a daily basis (1-10 likes/retweets), this was unfamiliar territory. I fully believe it was a result of spontaneous authenticity. Or is it authentic spontaneity?

Disclaimer: The term viral is relative. Celebrities reach this amount of engagement on a daily basis. For accounts that are a little smaller and have a couple of interactions per tweet, tweets generating over tenths, hundreds or thousands times the regular reach and/or engagement can be considered viral.

Wow! Gary is the definition of hustle and grinding.

Now that is a cool experience. I know who Gary is, and he has a huge and loyal fan base, so even if it is just a brief moment, at least you got some traction. Authentic Spontaneity (or even Spontaneous Authenticity) is a great way to put it. You have something of value there, in that terminology. Well put.

Thanks @naquoya, appreciate it! What makes it really cool is it kind of caught me off guard. But definitely a cool experience.

It would have caught you off guard. I can believe that. But a fitting example for what you talked about.

Yes indeed :)

Super cool. This is like utilizing trends to stay relevant. Plus, sounds like his fan base is prime for mob support of anything supporting him. Maybe you have tapped in to a new super power yourself, ey?

EDIT:P.S.- Got someone that should be getting in touch with you soon. 😎

Haha.. indeed. There are a lot of people within Vaynernation collaborating and some people even solely networking in the comment section of GaryVee posting. I don't do that because I'm in a different stage and have different ambitions than most of his followers. The cool thing is that his content is so broad I can still relate to it.

Heard that. I'll swing by and check his stuff out.

Let you know what you think.
