昨天参加的公司一年一度的慈善活动
Walk for rice 2019
每走两百米 NTUC就会捐出一碗白饭 一碗糙米饭
全程大概5.5公里
这样一个人大概捐出55碗米饭对吧？
去年500多个员工参与 总共走了2885公里
各捐了1154包2.5kg的白米和糙米
今年应该也差不多吧
今年路线和去年有点不同
一样从公司Depot road Campus出发
走到阿里三大路
去年走往Southrrn ridges桥再走回campus
今年走往Hortpark方向到kentridge park再走回campus
第一次走到Kent ridges Park
途中还捡了一些相思豆和树胶果
回家给孩子看 老公以前竟然也没玩过
走完之后回公司
遇到每月的Wellness Friday
2点可以下班 TGIF!
晚上累垮了 没去游泳 哈！
Yesterday i have joined my company yearly event Walk For Rice @ South East.
Walk for Rice is an Charity event in collaboration with the NTUC FairPrice Foundation, mileage from the walk will be converted to rice raised for distribution to these needy families.
We flaged-off the event from HPE Campus at 9.30am on Friday, before proceeding down Depot Road to Alexandra Road, across the bridge to HortPark, Kent ridge park and back to the office through Depot Road. A total distance of about 5.5km.
Last year, a total of 500+ employees and family members participated in the walk and we clocked a total of 2885 km. This translated to 2308 packets (@2.5kg) of white rice and brown rice for the needy families!
For every 200m that we walk in this event, FairPrice will donate 1 bowl of brown rice and 1 bowl of white rice to the needy residents. Additionally, this year, where every 400m clocked there will be 1 bowl of instant oatmeal donated, on top of the rice.
Such a meaning event and next year i will join again!
