The language of ivrit ( עברית ) Genesis 7, DTube Video #4
Welcome to my Hebrew reading & language series.
Genesis 7:14-18
Today as we read, notice that Noah did not have to go out and get any animals. They came to him and went into the ark with him.
Secondly, the fact that God shut the door behind him (behind Noah), and in the same sentence, we have the flood coming, the waters increasing, and the ark rising off the ground.
I believe that the flood came about quickly. The rain in combination with the springs of the deep opening made sure of that.
In the video, I point out vowels in yellow.. We also have to start thinking about genders for people and things in Hebrew because each number, adjective (color, size, etc.) and verb (action) changes based on the gender. That is clearly seen in today's passage. See the Hebrew according to kind of -gender- and note the difference.
You may notice the familiar vav or hey at the end of each. Hebrew words change quite a bit based on gender and number. The clarity and quantity of information contained in one Hebrew word sometimes requires a paragraph, page or even book to convey English. I hope to write more on that as we encounter it.

Shabbat Shalom~
"Le mina" I think that's the pronunciations of "according to"? Because I saw it like two times definitely and well I think todays lesson was amazing verse 14 to 18 was cool I'm glad we are taking it definitely slowly @Hebrew, amazing emphasis in the markings
Yes. And it is "le mi-NAY-hoo" for s bird or winged creature! Good job.
definitely thanks for the teachings
The story of Noah in the Bible is that of righteousness and how God Almighty saves him and his family members because they did things that pleases God and obey God's law.
The Hebrew words really looks similar and sounds alike as well, from your writing the he and she looks similar but it means different things as well
So good video, sir
A wonderful lesson @hebrew and it was very interesting to learn about Noah's Ark in Hebrew, the language is very ancient and wise on earth!
Noah is very glorified by God, so he always doesn't bother to look for animals,
