Thanks for a great video @priyanarc, and thank you for bringing up this subject, it's really both that there is not very much marketing and that the onboarding process is complicated which makes it hard for people to even get started, many people give up before they even make their first post.

Getting an account and starting to use it is too hard for the masses, a technical person will be able to, but someone who hardly knows how to operate their phone by themselves can't do this without help, but those people do still have a Facebook account, so it really needs some serious work to change the whole process, and make it available to the masses.

As to marketing and to help people get onboarded the tribes are really doing a great job with that, I am very busy in CTPtalk and this tribe has onboarded quite a few new Steemians, and is also doing a great job about teaching them how it all works, but many still needs a coach to get started.
