Hello Steemians!

Today we are launching our trailer for our BALKAN TRAVEL DOCUMENTARY SERIES. Our journey starts in Cologne, Germany and brings us to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. We are filming this series especially for Steemit because we consider it a real alternative to linear television.

Trailer for an Original Steem Travel Documentary Series in the Balkans - STEEM TRAVELS!

Alessandro and I are travelling all the way from Cologne in Germany to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. We want go deep into the Carpathian Mountains and meet the lumber jacks who live there in total isolation. We play the original form of Baseball - Oina - and visit Dracula's castle, sing with a mysterious Bulgarian choir at the Black Sea and reach the most Eastern Point of the Balkans: Istanbul. Our only rule: We must travel by public transport and steem about the trip. Do you want to join us?

This picture was taken on our adventurous hike up to the top of a mountain in the Apuseni area, close to Oradea. First we went down to the deepest point inside of the mountain and then we climbed it in the bright sunlight. The Romanians are true adventurers, I must say!

The Balkan Plan

Alessandro and I split the responsibilities of this trip. I do the planning, Alessandro the filming. So we reached out for the people that we wanted to meet, people who's culture we found fascinating and who we would like to learn from.

Though often we had the most precious encounters accidentally. When we met these two wonderful dancers, we were just strolling through Brasov. They were about the perform traditional Hungarian dances in the main square of the city. But you will see all of this in the film, soon.

We have the mission to cross the Balkans entirely by public transport. Probably we will have to catch a ride every now and then but I am a great fan of trains and can't wait to see the countryside fly past us.

ORIGINAL SERIES FOR STEEMIT

We are filmmakers by profession and put all our effort into this series. We put just as much concentration, time and expertise into this film, like we would for a usual broadcaster. Only that you are our audience now and I hope we can make you enjoy this trip. Give us feedback or ideas where to go along the way. Or do you even want to meet up and we make a little clip together?
