3:1:X:1 Pull Up Challenge by @matkodurko

Inspired by @bodie7, my friend @matkodurko did this special pull up exercise and decided to challenge me. I have accepted the challenge.

He challenged me over 20 days ago, but I have not done it because of a new tattoo I had and because I have not been training since I had my knee surgery recently. Today it was time to finally do this, specially because lately I am seeing to many fitness challenges over dtube and I would love to do them all =)

So what is the 3:1:X:1 Pull Up?

Means - you hang down one second, go up as fast as possible, hold up one second and slowly go down for 3 seconds.

Would you like to try? Go ahead! It is always good to do some workout.

I do have to say I did not follow the instructions, I realized after I did the video that I was also counting 3 seconds in the way up, adding extra difficulty unintentionally. Oh well... what can I say, maybe I could have done more reps doing it the way it is according to main challenge.

  • @cizabocas: my brother from the same mother, this will be a good opportunity for his first dtube video.

  • @celestal: a cool steemian I met in Steem Fest III, I see he likes to do pull ups with extra weight, so I know he will love to do this exercise.

  • @kevinli: a dtuber bro who I also met in Steem Fest III and as I know he is back in the gym.

Please don't make the same stupid mistake I made, so go up as fast as you can, wait for 1 sec and go down for 3 secs.

yeah and me so stupid to find out after that I had to go up as fast as possible and not also count 3 secs lol

Now I have to prepare for @phortun's challenge... you should do it too.

Im doing it 100%...I'll also do it together with another @bodie7 challenge..but that one is not for you at this stage. it's about knee mobility :D 7 types of "sit down stand up" movements..

When you calculate tempo and TUT (time under tension), some metronome app could be useful. Because sometimes we have tendency count much quicker/slower.

You and @matkodurko can try much slower tempo like 10:5:X:1 for example. It's fun when you have around 16 seconds per repetion. :) Quite lot of eccentric, isometric and explosive strength in 1 rep :)
