WTF happened to 'habeus corpus'? It's just obscene what has happened to America since 9/11.
I'm kinda looking for a way out, before there ISN'T a way out anymore (seems like it's too late already, TBQH, given what you've reported going on at the border already), but Punta Mona is prolly not my refuge.
I'm sure there's a lot of folk that would be comfortable there, but the kinds of social conformity they exercise there isn't for me.

It's sad, but given your message, and how mind control media operate, farkbork accounts are probably going to be temporary, at best. They've got to shut you down, or join you - and they're prolly not gonna do that until they completely give up on ruling the world.
You might be intersted in @ekklesagora here on Steemit. I've not delved too deeply into their work, but they've really done a lot of research into policy, liberty, and post some very interesting ideas about how society might evolve into something we can not only live in, but be glad to.

i am completely suspicious of anything having to do with facebook, google, apple, microsoft, amazon, wal mart, or george soros just to name a few. the list kindof goes on.
the medium is the message, you simply cannot talk about wanting to fight the police state on faceborok. it makes me suspect of everything you do.
the appropriate response is to tell everyone on farkbork to abandon that sinking, surveillance state ship. this is a fascist mafioso system now, we must stop feeding it in every way we can, that is if you are not one of them.
so i issue you this challenge, leave all centralized corporate media behind completely and take as many people with you as you can. even if you don't know the replacement, we know zuck's castle of mysteries is not the answer.

These are all perfect ways to get me not to take the comment as one out of respect. I am not "one of them", but as Kenny noted, for one reason or another, FB has always been where I have the most reach. That reach via fb is what allowed me to make the connections I have, to plan and complete a national tour, to network with other activists, etc. Basically, its the reason people know my work. Youtube, twitter, and other mainstream social networks (and especially other alternative networks) have never given me the same traffic. Of course, I love Steemit.
However, if we completely abandon and ignore fb it's ignoring a massive amount of people who need help and could be of value. That doesnt mean I endorse the platform, in fact, I often tell people we need a better alternative. My profile has been shut down for almost two months. But, generally, the masses are always going to follow the mainstream, they will not seek out the steemits of the world. So to ignore the audience at fb is to ignore millions of people.
Why have I not responded to your interview request? Quite frankly I am just a busy dude and I am not doing interviews on podcasts or shows until the new year.
25k followers, half of them are either police/sham accounts or you are police.
Every single other movement in the united states from antifa to BLM to rainbow gatherings to coachella NORML is swarming with law enforcement and privatesec infiltration, using facebork simply funnels all of your efforts directly into their vast monitoring and disruption operation.
you are either being naive or are just police, im trying to figure out which.
i don't really buy the 'i dont have time for month to respond to email requests for interviews' while you are posting 'i'm available for interviews' on every one of your posts.
that said i'm having issues getting obs going at the moment so I'm not as ready to interview you as I'd like to. but then again, i'm doing the work and not letting a surveillance platform manage my entire message so i can feel like i have 25k viewers.

fwiw I'm still not sure about steem even, but so far so good. if you want to learn what it's like to realize an entire movement you were a part of was eaten inside out by police, read my postings about the national rainbow gatherings. part 1, part 2 and part 3. once you realize one of your best friends was a cop, you might see things differently.
if that hasn't happened to you after what you are doing, then i'd take a close look at those closest to you and ask how well you really know them. or you are one of them.

I fully understand the level of police infiltration. I dont know if you know the history of my work but I have been monitored and followed in Houston by HPD since at least 2012. We have the documentation of this thanks to local sources.
Again, this is just the same ol defeatist attitude I have seen many times over the years. "Everything is part of the illuminati... so we shouldn't do anything". or something like that.
I have actively encouraged people to get away from social media giants and google, etc. Done videos, talks, articles encouraging alternatives. But I wont ignore the people on FB. I will just be careful about what I do and say while on there. I have access to much more than 25,000 people on FB via the pages I admin.

I have to point out that there are more than two options. People on farkbork; people everywhere, are at all different points in their journeys. Many people will remain captive to their learned helplessness, some will leave immediately, as you and I have, and never look back, but some will need some time to think about stuff, and try to buck the herd when they are ready.
If activists are cowed by surveillance to the point they don't reach people with their message, the statists win. Forever. @dbroze HAS to go there to be an activist.
I have to agree about the Rainbow family being a disaster in terms of political sophistication. I tried to help a few out once, and they tried to talk me into poaching deer, ripped a custom feature I had built right off the wall because they couldn't figure out a simple hook and loop, and I had to call a guys mother to get her to come and get him, so I could avoid a violent confrontation.
I will stay as far away from Rainbow folk as I do from farkbork =/
rainbow is just the idea that we can all get along, hippies, bikers, hobos, academics and also the idea that if everyone just has a festival in the woods together and shares it will be a good time. yeah, hobo/biker/hippies can be a rough crowd that damages upholstery.
but the idea is they are humans and what kind of hospitality and openness is it if that's all it takes to make you avoid someone? sure take care of your stuff, but it's sick in the head to live the way most people do in isolation.
this is obviously a big threat to someone, because now it's entirely run by police dressed up as hippies, bikers, hobos and with a good number of children and teenagers trying to entrap people into anything they can.
it demonstrates what happens to openness in a police state. it explains in a lot of ways why if you go out places hardly anyone is actually meeting new people, and most people probably go weeks at a time without meeting a new person.
The documentary hypernormalization is the only work that appropriately diagnoses it, and if you haven't diagnosed it you can't do anything about it.
and everything facebrak stands for is corrupt, dangerous and a pernicious form of mind control.
it is how they made las vegas disappear and created charlottesville.
every person that is using farkbrak is part of a disease as dangerous as cancer. without it there is no way fascism would be on the rise here, and everything probably well-meaning people like @dbroze are doing is a drop in the bucket against the damage being done to civil society and people's actual minds.
the oregon national rainbow gathering 2017 page is obviously run by police, i observed it. if dbroze continues as he's going now, eventually his page will be run by them too. i find it odd that someone else posts to his steemit for him. that's what you do with organizations not your personal.

While I completely agree with your sentiment, and LOL'ed over 'farkbork' XD, and also abandoned that unworthy the moment I found Steemit, I cannot agree that reaching out there is necessarily futile.

I am also sure that without someone going into that cesspit and letting people know there is Steemit, they'll never find out. A lot of people came here because they weren't very happy there, as we weren't, but they didn't know about censorship and propaganda free alternatives that actually provide compensation for producing content - until somebody told them, wherever they were at.
Also, without showing that the promoter of Steemit is providing content they are interested in, and folks interested in @dbroze's content are exactly the kinds of folks looking to get the hell out of farkbork, they might never bother to check it out.
I heard about Steemit while on Youtool, and that day was the last day I checked farkbork.
