Daily d00k13 - Vlog Part #1 - SkipTheDishes

Today I make my first daily blog/vlog post, I have done a few #introducemyself style posts and will probably do a few more since many parts of my life require a deep dive to fully explain. Where will this take me I have no idea, what format should I use? I will try a few including my own, what feels natural I don’t want to have this as work!

First thing this morning I took the car in for an 8:30am appointment for an oil change and new spark plugs, Fountain Tire said everything else is fine!

Today I am working for #SkipTheDishes as a food courier!

Just Pulled the car out of the $2 wand wash.

Today I stopped home for lunch, PB&J & Yogurt with berries and granola thanks to the love of my life.

Really not to eventful of a day driving around in the snow, seen the odd ambulance but no accidents got in my way so that was good!

End of Day Recap

Day of driving around bringing people all the food I wish I could eat. I for one cannot afford to eat out its not that I do not have the budget rather it makes no sense to me, as a treat is a different story. People that eat out all the time seem to loose the reward side of the different food experiences. Doing this job I am building a list of restaurants and dishes that I wish to try, but it will not be home delivery rather as a anniversary dinner or the like. It is rather amazing how the business model #SkipTheDishes works, so many different options in restaurants just one online ordering location!

Driving

I really love driving, it is my Zen place. Some people get angry behind the wheel I may get frustrated with numb skull drivers but over all its relaxing for me. I used to have a 1986 Pontiac Fiero SE 3.0L V6 with the 4 Speed getrag drag tranny. Under the hood wasn’t pretty but man o man that car would fly, full rocker roller top end on a fresh bottom end rebuild. Mid-engine design so no matter how much you try spin the tires it wants to grab, doing donuts is more like a cyclone spin.

Shout Out

Wanted to take a moment to thank @coruscate, for acknowledging me and my effort in her contest with a 3 SBD bonus reward. That’s right i didnt even win but she felt my effort was enough to reward, proves my idea of put the effort forward first and you shall recieve in return. I have in multiple ways not just the reward but with friendship and inspiration for a posting subject. I struggle with perfection and while struggling to complete an in-depth baking post I was able to crank out a simple recipe to respond to her question. Thank you beautiful lady!

First VLOG

While i was driving I attempted to record myself, found out I don’t know how to switch between camera modes while recording 😂. So if I can figure out how to edit my multiple takes into one I will be posting it on d.tube, in future I hope to be able to figure this out. I now understand how enjoyable it can be too speak your thoughts not just write them thank you @dnews for the encouragement.

Direction

So thoughts on direction, I will continue to try put together a recipe a week not sure if I will be successful around my double job schedule. I wish to continue this vlog/blog on the daily, maybe ill keep bringing you into my Zen place its where I think the best. I have probably 4 topics ill cover on the regular in other posts, maybe more news, funny stuff, I don’t know! WHAT SHOULD I DO?

No seariously what should I do? Any suggestions on direction would be greatly appreciated!
