Hello Steemians and DTubeNation,

This is already Day 4 of the 5-Part Series on the "5A's to Accelerate Your Life". And today's A is Affiliation!!

What do you get with the word "Affiliation"?

The word Affiliation means "the state or relation of being closely associated or affiliated with a particular person, group, party, company, etc." Source

In my mind, Affiliation goes a little deeper. I believe for Affiliation to happen, it requires a level of Trust. Without which, it is just a normal Friendship.

And just to put it into a Test, even if you and I put our Top 30 friends on a SCALE... we can begin to identify which cluster of friends fall into the Higher levels, Mid levels and maybe even the Lower levels. Fascinating isn't it.

It just goes to show that we have "preferences" and "allowances" that we determine to help us define who comes into our inner circle and who stays on the outside of that circle.

There are 2 parts to Affiliation.

1. The Connection with Others.
We are not made to be alone all by ourself. We are made to be with others. And it is very different from "Follower-ship" (like on Social Media), people who will just follow us from a far. The Connection here is far deeper and greater, it's a REAL Relationship that we are truly wanting from a select few. They get invited into your Trust Circle where you confide in, get input from and even rely on. Do you have your Close 5 that you can really Connect with?

2. The Collaboration with Others.
If you really want to be successful in work, business or life, you need to collaborate with others. When you synergize with others, there combination strengths, ideas, strategies and even hands/legs to carry out a certain task can be done with more precision, speed and efficiency. Not just because it's a Buzzword for the 21st Century, but the need for Greater Collaboration is needed if we want to really solve the bigger world problems and needs... which actually can be solved when we COME TOGETHER!
