[S.T.K] #8 - TODAY I WILL BE STILL + Dream (Syncronicity)
IN YOUR TWO MEDITATION PRACTICES TODAY, practice stillness for 15 minutes. Begin by taking three deep breaths and then focusing on an internal point. It may be an imaginary point or it may be a point in your physical body. With eyes closed, simply give this your full attention, without judgment and evaluation. Do not be discouraged if early attempts prove difficult. Beginning anything important in life can be difficult at first, but if you persist, you will achieve this great goal, for in stillness all things can be known.
Practice 8: Two 15-minute practice periods.
General Perspective
This is the Step where Meditation is introduced into Practice. Although I didn't Consciously think about it, I did expect to find such a Beneficial Practice in a One-Year Course book that it's about coming in contact with our deeper Selves.
I also Love the fact that it prepares you for the unavoidable early failures where we can't maintain our Focus of Attention on a single point for long periods of time. Also, a Key Word is used here: PERSIST.
PRESENT and PRECISE date of 12/12/2017:
Practice #1 (17:57) - (15:11)
My Mind does tend to get all over the place. My legs got numb, my back started hurting. But it's interesting.
Practice #2 (22:21) - (22:36)
Is pretty hard to maintain Focus, which mean there's work to do. My back isn't hurting as much but my legs went numb. I can witness myself moving from one thought scenario to another without being aware that it's happening.
The Dream I had the Day of this Step
"I had a dream the earlier night where it felt like I was with some friends in the Dream World and since I couldn't properly Control my Mind/Thoughts, I was manifesting some random bullshit, since Manifestation there is instantaneous. So I was apologizing to them about that and telling them that I'm returning here, to the 3rd Dimension so that I can work on my Mental Discipline and Mastery more."
It was interesting to see that the Step of that day was about Meditation and Mental Focus.
