The Left and Democrats are very desperate to find anything in the Mueller Report to hang President Trump with. So much so, they are willing to take sections of it and add things that were not even stated in the report and are hoping to make them into a perceived reality.

Both the Post and the NYT are straining to save face for two years of promoting this false narrative that blew up in their face. Like anyone whose religion is shown to have holes in it, they feel the need to "fill in the blanks" and speculate as they go along in order not to admit their colossal error.
