I think when you simultaneously post your video on DTube in real time, it proves you are the real person in the video and not a case of stolen ID. Another way is to Tweet or Facebook post mentioning your Steemit post if you wish. So I have no issue of trusting you and upvoting you.

Hey there, you can definitely go and edit to add photos and other things, as long as it's within the 7 day timeframe.
One of my local steemit friends wrote this excellent post that explains in simple details how you can edit markdown on steemit.

As far as I know it should be possible to add a new photo with the edit feature. If for some reason you can't sort that out it's important enough to warrant a new post I think. Just be careful about spamming the introduceyourself tag. People tend to be against that.

That would do it and I would be flattered by the mention. I hope you understand why it's so important to everyone. There are tons of scammers here that would rather steal someone else's image than create one of their own.
You'll see a major boost to your posts after it's done because a lot more people will upvote. And like @intuitivejakob said you can get a lot of attention with a good intro post.

I made some friends that found my intro post who I had a chance to even meet in person since the short few months I've been here.
What @btcnoodle said is important for the reasons shared, especially if you are interested in meeting local steemians. There are some very active communities to participate with and the introduction is the best way to explain why you're here and what you intend.

You have to show the paper with the date and your username on steemit in the same view as your face. What it's all designed to prevent it someone taking existing material off the internet and posing as someone hot who is a great dancer (or some other valuable content). Without this we can't know if you are really you.
