RE: Juice Fast for Healing Challenge

Man, I cannot imagine what you might be going through. I hope you get better, and FEEL better. Thanks for sharing this. FYI, the doctors in the U.S. don't always listen to their patients either. And insurance plans have almost guaranteed that they won't.

Thanks @blockurator I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some type of benefit from this crazy fast. At the moment I'm on day 5 and feeling sick as a dog but still time for it to turn around.

I didn't know that about the states, I knew that the poor were massively screwed over there re medical insurance/care. The only reports on the medical stuff I get are from my uncle who lives over there, but he is rich. I'm guessing that is why I'm hearing good reports, cause his plan is a good one. Sounds like it's the same shit, different system. We are very lucky to have the NHS and I'm not angry at NHS per say but more at how strangled they are and also the arrogence of specialist doctors. Most doctors the world over seem to have pretty blinkered views about alternative medicine etc even when they're treating conditions which are known to be difficult with conventional medicine. Especially chronic conditions like these it is a pretty standard tale you will hear that a lot of people have been brow beaten by doctors into wrong diagnosis or negative prescriptions.

Anyway, I'm hopeful I'll figure it out :-)

One thing here in the states is, doctors are so afraid of making mistakes because they might sued, so they play it safe. They don't want to misdiagnose, which might also be a problem in the UK. I don't know. In the states, if anything goes wrong, there's attorney somewhere looking to secure a reputation. Insurance plans dictate medical procedures. If your uncle likes the system, it's likely because he's got good insurance. He may be rich enough to get by without it, though now, thanks to Obamacare, there's a penalty if you don't have it. Some people have opted to pay the penalty until it's no longer financially feasible, or in hopes that a Republican Party can overturn Obamacare (it won't). On the whole, rich people do have it better than poor people (though few will admit it even if they're aware of it). And that's true in just about everything.
