Cumulus

If the above video does not play, try the video below or view it on YouTube and subscribe to my channel!

Flowing cumulus peaks with some passing wisps above. It was a hot and somewhat hazy day with blue skies and sunshine, between passing ocean storms that wreak destruction wherever they may roam.

A moment of tranquility. The pleasures of life's contrasts.

Timelapse filmed in 1920 x 1080 on my Canon XF-300, with one-second intervals at two frames per interval - clip speed at +300%.

OK!

I just wrote a post on cumulus clouds for #paragliding. Those clouds are what we call in the paragliding community "OD" for over development. Swing through and check out that post. I have been spending the last 6 months trying to touch the clouds. I am getting close.

Stunning music! A holiday for the soul! Thank you @ats-david for the pleasure!

I really wanted to see your timelapse but I can neither watch nor download videos from dtube :/ Could it be that the problem is with my account and with the ISP, as I have both tried from home and work?

You can watch the YouTube version. I added that to the post.

I don't know why it won't play. It doesn't load for me either. I even reduced the bit rate to ~8 Mbps. I doubt that it's an issue with you. I have a fast internet connection and my PC is top-notch, so it's not a problem on my end.

I can't see it in DTube either, but strangely the video embedded in the DTube page plays fine in my browser outside of DTube, as a direct link.

It was very soothing.

Yeah same here. Looks like some sort of DT glitch perhaps?

Dtube suddenly loaded it :) It's beautiful and really cool to watch how the cloud formations change. It's like in slow-mo compared to my timelapses :) How many pictures did you take in total?

I was just explaining this to someone in chat!

I recorded about 15 minutes at one-second intervals with two frames per second, so about 1800 frames total.

[Edit: I think there may be some delay/lag after uploading. Could have something to do with getting it hosted on the network?]

Quite a lot of frames. I will try to take more shots next time to see whether my timelapse will be as smooth as yours :)

As for dtube, I think there still some bugs.

Nice! Just watched it in YT and I love seeing the clouds movement. Subscribed.

You have a YT channel??? You need to tell people stuff!

I just created it this week...because I was having issues with Dtube. I really didn't want to create a YouTube account. But now that I have one, I'll use it - and you can subscribe!

I already did my friend (and left you a comment)

Was this the video that you got me all excited for? Well I want my money back. Just kidding. It is very sick. Love just staring up at the clouds and watching them flow. It can be breath taking.

Yeah...this was the video that I was faux-hyping last night.

Unfortunately, my Canon 6D doesn't do interval recording, so I can't do any timelapse photography with it. I could get much better images from that. Plus I have a better ND filter for it.

Things will get better. I promise!

Your heads are in the clouds... but in a good way.

Nice idea! The next episode could be trees flowing in the wind :)
Im an video/motion graphics editor and have made several shorts as well. Keep up the good work!
What editing software do you use?

Just used Premier Pro for this one.
