0.02BTC gone in Bitgooonect. Reward bounty program?
Was just browsing Steemit and happened to see @thejohalfiles comment regarding the Bitconnect issue.
Well, now that almost everyone knows what happened with Bitconnect, just wanted to share my story too. I started around Oct 2017 i guess and made a transfer of 0.02 Btc to Bitconnect using the referral link of someone who everyone in here is familiar. It was almost certain that this could fail but I just wanted to test out the water. i didn't know how it worked, watched couple of tutorial and got started.
i) First transfer from Coinbase to Bitconnect, 0.001Btc was the transcation fee, so yea 0.019 in Bitconnect wallet. Happy!

Frankly speaking i still have no clue how this works and what lending stuff does, but that doesn't matter any more because its over and the water i (many people who invested) went out to test was not worth it. It actually doesn't affect much, couple hundred dollars but its really scares to even think of people who invested hundreds of thousands of dollars, probably sold their house or sth... I mean that would have been really painful and i hope they get back on track and move on in life.

@amreshchandra , please let others know in the YouTube community about this. I know you didnt lose much compared to others and I would appreciate it if you help me reach out to people who lost more than yourself. Please pay it forward and tell them to do the same thing you did to get in touch with me. I will review their losses. Also please let them know to include the evidence of their trades all on video along with their testimony, no pictures please. Thank you.
Hi @thejohalfiles, Sure i'm on it. I personally didn't promote it to anyone and have 0 referrals in it. I wanted to just try it out myself and see what kinda thing this is.. Just joined couple of Bitconnect groups on FB, I'll definitely spread the word and let people know about this kind act of yours. Really appreciate it mate and god bless.

My brother who was curious about crypto also invested through a referral link and lost his life savings. He is a police officer and a bit busy at the moment but I will let him know about this. Thank you.

@thejohalfiles I'm still new to Steemit and I'm not posting to start an argument but a difference of prospective and to some degree devil's advocate. I understand you care a great deal about this platform but at the same time I see it's easy to become emotional and lose site of what it is. There are no rules here on Steemit, but maybe more pepole should take sometime at least reading the Steemit Etiquette Guide for what Steemit is based on. Particularly (#14, #18, #19, #21)
Also if you have time please review my post in regards to the man in the video you were replying to and the mindset of others like him. I believe your a good guy just don't be shortsighted or naive in thinking you will be truly helping these people without suppling them with the truth of their actions and making them informed about the space in general it's counter-intuitive.

It's amazing that the whole story with Bitconnect seems to have passed me by. I learn about such news from STEEMIT.

I am sorry for you n others who lost their hard earned money. Yes it's sad. I lost around $4k -5k considering the returns I got. I was signed under Craig Grant who promoted the programme like anything. But at the end of the day it's the personal greed that made me invest. No point blaming others. So it's time for us to make up the loss by blogging in steemit.

It's okay. We sometimes win sometimes lose. Sometimes I have a word with @thejohalfiles . He has a really big heart a kind person, he supports me a lot in this platform. I think he will get to know from our conversation itself :) . I will treat as a big lesson in life. Cheers!!
