The Five Senses - sand sculpture- timelapse
This is a timelapse of the 2006 Dublin castle sand sculpture exhibition. I thought it nice to finish this series of posts with this. You get to see how the sculptures are created exhibited and then destroyed. Clips of it I used in the documentary in my last post.
Watching back now I remember that I had an apprentice working with me for a while. She helped me with some of the textures but for the life of me I can't remember her name.
I really like the way you can see the people slowly but surely becoming interested in what we are making and by the end it is like a pulsating crowd. The Castle was very happy to have this attraction and I am still very sad that we don't still do it.
I also find it cool to be able to see the different ways each of us work on our piece.
I filmed it using my first digital camera which I hacked to become a timelapse camera. Even though it was one 1 megapixel I think the results were pretty good.
