Be Careful With Your Money

in #dtube5 years ago

Greetings,

First: This is not financial advice. I am not qualified to offer that. I'm just some guy with a little experience, and with a camera and mic

With the current price of Steem, and it's performance against BTC especially, there's a lot of FUD going round. Also there's a lot of talk of "buy opportunity" as well.

In my experience, both kinds of talk are justified, depending on who you are. Everyone's situation is different.

Do your own research and don't blindly follow some online person.

Ha ha, dude.... I'm gonna follow your advice of not following anyone's advice... wait a minute 🤔😜😆

I bought steem at $0.26 last time it dipped, but as you said it's been losing sat value ever since. It's all powered up anyway so I ain't going anywhere fast.

Hahah I'm here with you :) . That's kind of the beauty of Steem Power. It slows down panic sells. I can only wish I bought at 26 cents haha.

😆... well I only had around £300 to throw in the steem pot but I do think I got bargain basement price. Only time will tell.

Good vid btws. You're right in what you say about orcas and whales saying things dependent on their pot and steem agenda. Hell, even us dolphins do it sometimes 😉

I'm quite heavy in steem, maybe around a quarter of my portfolio.... So I'm gonna say

buy buy buy.... It will never be so cheap again 😆

LOL. I'm obviously a guru

Exactly scary when I hear you say that but it's obviously the harshest reality ever with the Steem blockchain but there is so many perogative and many people's situation are definitely different really. I definitely know about the dipping prices and I've been maintaining so instead of me leaving steem I'll just get another job and keep being on steem. Everyone can't be the same like you said and whatever anybody decide to do they have their right and their money. Awesome video Man, awoke me back to reality

Haha. Yeah, everyone is different. People that have a LOT of money can afford to play with some of it. It's a great opportunity to invest in Steem, but it's also a high risk investment... bu with high risk comes the possibility of high rewards.

It's all about balance as far as I'm concerned - I've recently bought more BTC which I'm holding as I felt like I had too much of my crypto in Steem.

Talking about rebalancing I'm now seriously considering buying land and going more self sufficient - much more resilent than than investments let alone crypto investment - taking a very broad definition of wealth there!

Until we colonise Mars, land is still the most valuable holding. It's finite and real :)

And much like Steem, you can do quite a lot with it!

Yeah. Obviously it will be plain stupid to buy steem on the opinions of others alone, considering everyone has a natural bias to what they believe will happen

Or to sell for that matter.

I ended up on the hype train last time, mad for potato on the first SPUD day.

Doing our own homework is an important part of the process as well!
