La Ruperta (Venezuelan Waltz) - Los Cañoneros [English - Español - Deutsch]
The arrangements of almost the entire Los Cañoneros repertoire was made by me, but to record this classic waltz of the Cañonera music, I wanted to turn to someone else who could make a different musical approach. For that task I chose who was our saxophonist for almost 20 years, a musician of enormous versatility and a figure of Venezuelan jazz, Benjamin Brea.
This song is one of the most representative of genre, a waltz of great musicality.

Los arreglos de casi la totalidad del repertorio de Los Cañoneros fue hecho por mí, pero grabar este clásico vals de la música cañonera, quise recurrir a alguien más que pudiera hacer un planteamiento musical diferente. Para esa tarea escogí a quien fue nuestro saxofonista por casi 20 años, un músico de enorme versatilidad y una figura del jazz venezolano, Benjamín Brea.
Esta canción es una de las más representativas de género, un vals de gran musicalidad.

Für diese Aufgabe wählte ich jemanden, der unser Saxophonist für fast 20 Jahre war, ein Musiker von enormer Vielseitigkeit und eine Figur des venezolanischen Jazz, Benjamin Brea.
Dieses Lied ist eines der repräsentativsten des Genres, ein Venezolanischer Walzer von großer Musikalität.
