Hey @raj808, I am a curator of the Whaleshares Curation Team. I have selected your post to be presented in a live curation discussion on Monday 21st May. Your post will be awarded a 100 Whaleshares vote on the night. I do hope you can come along and spectate. The event will be held in The Curation Lounge on the Whaleshares server. Here is a link to a post explaining things: https://steemit.com/competition/@nikflossus/the-28th-whaleshares-curation-show-with-another-fascinating-guest-thatsweeneyguy

Yayyyy that means I get to read out some of my poetry in the show tonight. You have made me a happy chappy @kotturinn, I shall see you in the whaleshares room later. Thanks :-)

Yup, see you in a few haha!
Pretty accurate description of how things are on Steemit - the poem. I think a lot of people will be into it :)

Curie Curie

After my first 2 cure upvotes... all I could remember was Hendrikdegrote. I was just another wanderer on the Steem blockchain. It was after I wrote a piece I never thought was dope. In my head i thought it was shit. Still I never knew of curie. I told my group of friends about to put a quit to steemit that if they put up quality post that they could also be noticed with good upvotes. It happened to them as well but never knew of Curie. Long story short.
It all made sense when i finally got to know of Curie.

Project curie has been a huge plus to steemit. In the Nigerian community I hear people say curie is the reason why steemit is what it is because of the standard.

About your poem. Just what i expected. Legit and tight . Classic Raj

I can relate to this 200%

Dante is here No fear

Cheers

Ha ha, yeah for sure I hear you on the Hendrikdegrote dilema ;-) It took me until my second curie vote to realize that it wasn't just a whale called Hendrikdegrote upvoting me cause he liked my scribbles. I went as far to go poking through his proflie and saw a post he'd put up sayin

'thanks for all the well wishes guys but I'm not the one voting you, it's coming through the curie account.'

That is how I learned to go looking for curie... and the rest is history lol

I agree dante, that Curie pushes up the quality overall on the whole platform. I think in the winter, when steem was booming and there were so many new users it was so noticeable as one week a steemain would be putting out something average then the next an great post with a chance of acceptance. I saw loads like that and it was much easier to find the previously unrewarded gold :-)

Gasp! You mean it's not some dude called Hendrik de Grote? How does it work out that it is Curie? I don't understand.

Well, there you go!! I have received a curation from Curie and was stoked and two Hendrik votes. So I just realise now I have Curie to thank for all of them! Awesome! They are definitely keeping my spirits up to continue on here. It's quite hard at times, isn't it.

Hi Sue, Basically one of our Curators submits your post, it gets reviewed by another human. If accepted Curie then upvotes your post and is followed by the Curie trail of votes which all add up to your 300-600 votes and higher amount on the post. hendrikdegrote is the highest value vote of the bunch. He has been part of the Curie trail for a long time and supports what we do.

Oh yes, of course, he's part of the curation trail. Duh. Bit of a brainfart there for a second for me, hana. Thanks for explaining.

Amazing! Thank you for all the love, team work and help for the whole community. :) Definitely earns a resteem, Thank you for all the hours, support, hard work and encouraging all of us to Steem more!

I'm glad you enjoyed the poem @warrkin and thank you so much for the resteem! I really appreciate it. Really nice to hear a friendly well done for all the curie curators collective work. It is kind of a solitary job behind the scenes most of the time so it is nice to hear that we're appreciated. Cheers warrkin, I am following you now :-)

I think most people can easily identify with this post and more so the poem. The first month was quite confusing, and getting into a rhythm was one of the toughest things, let alone having no one reading your posts!

Its a great platform, certainly not flawless by any means but it is still a place with a good community once you get past the bots and whales. There are some truly creative people on steemit and also people doing great things like yourself and the rest of the Curie guys.

Cool, just great that today I wandered to you)) Thank you)

I'm glad you enjoyed the poem Amalinavia. You are most welcome and thank you for reading and supporting my post :-)

Nicely poeticised - captures a lot of my own thoughts and feelings in the days leading up to and proceeding my curie votes. Staying motivated on this platform can be tough at times but curie really made me feel that there is a future here worth striving for. Which reminds me, I should do my own write up soon...

Thanks for sharing this - it's definitely one of the most original and relatable curie stories I've seen so far!

You totally should do a 'My Curie Story' post @lazarus-wist. Just remember to use the two tags -

mycuriestory + curie

That way the post should get seen by someone in the guild. No guarantee it would get a curie vote but at the least some curators would probably give it some love :-)

Exactly how I felt when I was new and still feel now sometimes. Community is what it's all about on steemit.

Thanks for reading and I'm glad you digged the poetry :-)

Putting up such a poem on such a topic. Doing good dude!

I love what curie does for the community. Literally everybody remembers their first curie vote and that alone says already when it does.

Curie should have everybodies witness vote for sure and endless support.

Bravo dude!

Many thanks @karinxxl, yeah I feel the same about what Curie does for the community. Sometimes I look at the mechanisms on steemit which actually work against people, like bidbots (they rarely return a profit and often end up costing money) and it just drives me nuts. They are literally someone running a business and making money off someones hopes for success in the most cynical way. When these thoughts get too much to keep inside I end up writing something like this poem lol. Curie are redressing the balance against these negative mechanisms of steemit, which is great :-)

Awesome post

Thanks 👍

This is a really well crafted poem. Great idea to tell your curie story in the form of poetry. It made it so much more effective and memorable for me.

Thanks @soulturtle, yeah I was hoping it would have that effect lol like when you hear a song and it gets stuck in your head. Ha ha anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the poem. Thanks for checking out my blog 🙂

This is really interesting. Keep it up
