Missing my Mother
It's three years since my mum died of MS. I usually like to go hiking on this anniversary and reflect, but that can't happen today as it's a big Royal Arch meeting on the island, my last degree as First Principal. Lots of emotions today but that's good. I like that kind of day.

My mum died last year after years of suffering Altzeimers. It was a relief for her and us when she passed.
She would have hated what the disease had done to her faculties if she had been aware of her decline in function.
I'm pretty sure your mother had had quite enough at the end too and as quoth the bard.

Sorry for your loss, time heals but a little and we still miss them in our own ways. In fact in October it will be three years since my own mum passed away. And she had Multiple Sclerosis too.
