What If We're Interacting With A Changing Simulation? (IMAGINATION EPISODE)
I had a very odd scenario play out in my head while doing cardio this week (blame the cardio) and this episode is definitely abstract and only for those who want to spend a little time thinking about a weird scenario that life could be. The whole thing has a positive message about why we should live our lives to our best capability but the sci-fi might be interesting for some of you!

This scenario seems to be one of the best theories about our existance and it is mind boggling stuff, have you ever thought about us being and living in a videogame? Strange how life gives us these ideas, you should check out Black Mirror, great TV series giving meaningful insights
Life is kind of like a video game, you are the player, consciousness, playing a character, your individual body/mind, through a series of levels in an MMO style universe. Of course until we wake up from the dream we are NPC's mindlessly going through our daily task as if the game had set our fate as it does for NPCs. Video games mirror life, as do many of our technologies. We have forgotten our true selves.
As a wise Aloe Blacc once said: "Life's a game made for everyone, and love is the prize"
This is exactly how I've always looked at life when it comes to self progression. If you want to do something you need to reach that lvl just like if you want to equip that sword, you need to improve your skill. What if we really are just MMO characters?
This is gonna sound weird, but ever try pscilocybin? I think the answers I got from using it showed me that if life is a video game, its far cooler and more fulfilling than anything I could have imagined. I think the answers lie in spiritual practice, but psychadelics can show us glimpses of what is possible in the realm of conscious states. The higher states seem to allow life to actually work like a video game, where we directly create our experience.
I'll let you know if I ever figure out how this works haha, but introspection has kind of changed the way I see the world

THis is an interesting thought exercise @brianturner. It made me recall about my bad decisions lately...and way way back in the past. Anyway what's interesting is when "whoever or whatever" is observing me while in this so called simulation can actually read through my thoughts and feelings... like for example what i chose to think and feel. If i decide to just hate on someone and this algorithm thing will just present more and more opportunities for such negative feelings. It will be a vicious cycle.of shitty life.
Exactly, and if you don't notice and don't change anything about your negative feedback loop you'll just get more and more deep and eventuality it'll be almost impossible!
