I think you're talking about Smart Media Tokens? Ned's new project? If my understanding is correct, it's a way for mainstream media outlets to use Steemit's no-fee transactions and basically using this platform as a base for their comments sections. It's probably much more than that, as he described it as "the future of the internet". I think it's basically a mainstream adoption of the Steemit way of life. lol
