Drug Wars – Game development vs. expectations

Here we go again.

It is starting to get funny, reading those news and the comments. It kinda feels like that devs now got the good old problem like every game in the alpha: Users demanding a lot of different stuff, because they paid something.

I guess it thanks to the skewed expectations. They expected a game that is paying daily a high sum, where they can raid everybody else for even more money.
This can’t be true for everybody.
The game is still in alpha, in game development everything is under constant change and might be totally different tomorrow. Even CD Projekt Red is expressing that while showing the gameplay demo.
Yes I’m comparing a big software developer with a small browser game. But it is basically the same with every game development. Features will be changed and with that the balance. Even in the final stages of development.
I guess the only way for the devs to get out of that misery and to bring everyone back on track is a roadplan. A plan of actions what will happen in the next weeks/months with the game and the balance. So everybody know what is going to happen and when this is going to happen.
I guess we need a balanced out fight system with a solid defense possibility for turteling strategies. Also we need different buildings affecting that. For a higher income from drugwars, the wanted option has to come.

So much to do, so less time.
