Drugwars: Revised Strategy
STFU about @drugwars already!
No.

I remember when Steem Monsters came out and everyone couldn't shut up about it. I ignored that release quite completely. Now I'm doing the same thing with @drugwars. I'm sure I'm annoying at least one person. Apologies.
However, I'm taking this primitive game quite seriously. I've become fairly certain a can make a few coins off it and hopefully it will become something great one day. Here's what I learned today:
The Heist is for suckers!
It was financially obvious that buying the first three levels of drug production would pay for itself. What I didn't realize is that all my accounts were off balance because of this move.
Now I'm scrambling to even out my resource production. When you put drugs into the Heist, those resources get traded for very little reward. It is more ideal to not put anything into the Heist and try to get a bigger piece of the pie. After all, the main payout is seven times greater than the Heist.
By having the right ratio of resource production you can put all the resources you generate into catapulting the account higher. For example, right now many of the drug production building upgrades require very little drugs in comparison to weapons and alcohol. I'm looking to have about 30% more weapon production than drug production and 60% more alcohol production in relation to drugs. This will allow me to not waste resources.
It's become quite obvious to me that level 1 3D metal printing was extremely worth it to buy. Unfortunately, those days have already past. I'll have that upgrade for free tomorrow on all my accounts using the leverage gained from the Industrial Distillery.
There are five different buildings that will upgrade a given resource. The first three are usually not worth looking at. It's the last two that give the best gains. This game is set up to make people impatient and make the bad play of upgrading the cheaper and less efficient buildings. Don't fall for it. Only upgrade the cheaper buildings when you need to burn a certain resource in the event of a surplus. For example, if you have surplus alcohol and nothing to do with it, buy some low grade weapon production buildings.
I'm starting to think I'll be able to get all my accounts up to an average of 5 Steem per day payouts. This shouldn't really be possible but people keep dumping so much money into this game. Seriously though, the prize pool keeps going up 10k Steem per day even though there is an 8% payout. It's going to be nice if I can get paid 30 Steem a day just to play this game. We'll see.
My new alt account has run into a problem where when I attempt an upgrade, nothing happens.
Hope that quits happening. It's delaying my development adversely.
Thanks!
No problem, This is a constant issue for me.
I'm juggling 6 accounts at once.
You are not allowed to transact on two accounts at the same time. You have to reconnect with SteemConnect every time you want to make a play on a different account.
I'm only in with one account that I made for the purpose. The juggling shouldn't be a factor for me.
Not spending money on it... mainly because i don't make that much on mySTEEM account to finance medium risk high reward games, if the devs suddenly decide to change the economy of the game steem per day might drop... have u already made enough to cover what u put in?
Decided to give EOSknights a try btw, the game is pretty cool, but I think its dying off because of the bear market... might be worth on the bull market, just like drugwars... maybe if I make a few bucks with trading this next week I'll drop some STEEM on drugwars and EOS on EOSknights.... let's see! Oh and some STEEM on steem monsters ofc xD
Maybe youre a bit too greedy

oh?
No offense.
I have to tame my greed, too.
Just because it looks like a shortcut doesnt mean it is one.

great to see so many playing drugwars and great to see some people are now sharing tatics
Not spending any more money. Now I'm working on upgrading alcohol and weapons.
Perhaps I'll give you 5 Steem to get that level one Industrial Distillery, hm? Then you'll be obligated to join my gang :D
Oh, thanks.I do have the money, just that I won't put it in the game. And, no, I don't like games with clans and gangs and strategy. Probably won't be doing any battles when they bring them back. But thanks for the offer!😃

Looks like you put in 5 Steem and have already gotten back 3... nice.
so.. whats the policy of your gang? ;-)

hmm.. sounds good.. but I feel also threatened by the dark lordvader if I do not join his gang.. ;-)
Gang war incoming.
Interesting, thanks for sharing - I love games that run on Steem - I've been running them (As bot driven games on Steemit for a long time now). Seems its gone to the next level and off platform - which is fantastic and hopefully we can gain new interest in Steem, I've started telling people at work about a fun game....Having a strategy like you do to make a few bucks along the way seems pretty cool, would be good to hear how it goes over time.
If you like games checkout my latest version/experiment I just posted. Sadly no passive income but I reckon all developments are great for Steem.
Cheers
I open the game few hours ago and I see minus -5 k on weapons..
How was that possible with the Battles disabled...just wondering..

It's a bug. The server might have realized it let you buy too much and then put you in debt. The server could have bugged out in many different ways to give you negative resources.
This game is totally unstable because of how popular it is. It's probably going to take like a full week for them to figure it out.

I still have no idea what I am doing in most cases but and trying to follow your lead but fell behind because of my day one decisions! Hopefully, I can climb out of it in time to benefit from some payouts!
