The Hive Word of the week, Love .

Howdy folks'.

Oh what a big topic, "What is Love", there's a song in that. There are many songs wrote with a similar title. Those that spring to mind straight away. are.

• Haddaway: What is love?
• Foreigner: I want to know what love is.
• Howard Jones: What is love (anyway)?
• Tina Turner: What's love got to do with it?
• Queen: Somebody to love.
• Bob Marley: Is this love? and One Love
• V.bozeman: What is love?
• Bonnie Tyler. Loving you is a dirty job, (somebody's got to do it)
• Edison Lighthouse. Love grows where my Rosemary goes.

There are maybe many others out there I do not know of. Many more wrote abut love. I will not go to listing those. I am not sure I have the time.

There are many ways to look at what love is.

• You can feel it, be touched by it, yet never touch it yourself.
• You can give it away everyday and never run out. Always having just that bit more you can share, regardless of how much you have shared earlier.
• It is an energy that can drive you forward, make you unstoppable.

• It can fill you up and make you feel lighter.
  It can reach the parts other feelings cannot.
  Love can be inspiring.

There are some phrases about love too, many come from the Latin language.

• Love conquers all. Amor vincit omnia.
• Lovers are lunatics. Amantes sunt amentes.
• Lovers' quarrels are the renewal of love. Amantium irae amoris integratio est.
• Love of money. Amor nummi
• Love of your country. Amor patriae. (patriotism)

• The love of money is the root of all evil. Radix omnium mlorum est cupiditas

• Love is Blind, Suum cuique pulchrum.

These phrases are not known by heart, I have taken them from a book

Love can be many things. No one owns it, we all can have it. Love is best when it is given away.

In all the things above the commonality between them all is feeling. Love is a feeling that can do things other feelings cannot.
If Carlsberg made feelings, they would probably make the best feelings in the world. (okay, that might only be funny in my head)

Love is something you have which you should not keep. Because you can feel it does not mean it belongs to you. You are the starting point for that love. You feel it for someone else, or maybe your pet. It is an emotional feeling that can grow within you. To feed this emotion, you need to give it away. That is the only way it grows. The longer you give it the deeper it roots itself in you and grows even stronger.

I talk or type here, as love is such a wonderful thing, it does have a down side. At those times love seems to be the opposite and a waste of time, Something we will never do again (until the next time). Yes, at those times when love hurts the world falls way, What's the point of it all comes to be questioned and never answered.

I would say that feeling of hollowness you feel. The empty universe from your heart to your gut, that your head can make no use of or sense from at all. That churning ache you cannot place, cause its there in the darkness of the question, WHY? I don't know the reason why. I do however, have a thought on the feelings we feel at that time.

That void and emptiness is where you had stored up all that love to give. That perpetual increase in the amount you had suddenly emptied and flushed, cause for some reason the direction of the love you hold loses its direction. That feeling of loss clouds the thoughts of our minds. Although at the tie it is no consolation to hear something like this, It may get the talker a punch in the face and told to F off, Go Hone! If you did not feel this emptiness than you have not loved. It is very similar to a cut to your skin. It hurts. The emptiness is how a feeling hurts. when it hides itself away behind the doors of our hearts. The deeper this feeling and the longer it lasts (without self-dwelling on it) is a measure of how deep you loved.

The only downfall to avoiding this happening to you, is never loving hurts even more.

Some phrases to say to the one you love.

If lovers were flower's, you would be the one I'd pick.
If I said you had a beautiful body, would you hold it against me.
If loving you is a crime, I'll do ten to life.
Loving you is a dirty job but somebody has to do it.
Last but the one I like best, You're lucky I love you.

I know I listed above, "If lover's were flowers. you would be the one I'd pick". Some things are just nice to say, not to be taken as literal. There is a difference between like and love. If you like a flower, you may pick it and bring it home for display. If you love the flower, you will water it.

Ultimately, Love you have is not your's to receive, The only love you can get is that which is freely given to you.
