To infinity and Beyond

Be the change.

Welcome back to our weekly Drop in the Ocean post where we feature the amazing content that was created for the show.

This weeks topic was Bravery and with steem being down on the day, I would like to thank those who still posted. I am happy they did because all the posts have great approaches to the topic.

Bravery is most commonly referred to in situations where it was witnessed and then determined by those witnesses whether the act was brave, the result whether morbid or a complete success does not have much weight on this as it is the attempt that matters.

This is debatable of course and you might find that what one thinks is brave, another who has given it some consideration would find it to be foolish.

@TheHive

Starting out his post with the intent to share a few quotes on the topic of bravery, @TheHive, fortunately, decides to instead provide a more focused opinion on the matter at hand after discovering a little inspiration.

True bravery is shown by performing without witness what one might be capable of doing before all the world.

Questioning when bravery is considered bravery and what this quote may further reveal about the nature of bravery as we may perceive it.

@TheHive illustrates his viewpoint with a well-crafted story of the different aspects of bravery which be achieved by the actions of one, or many, but also shares how what we believe to be bravery may indeed not be the truth of the matter.

Be sure to give his post a read and share your thoughts on the topic here

@ShadowsPub

Bravery comes in many forms and @ShadowsPub succinctly shares a few of them with us, starting with a brief bit of history on the Victoria Cross awarded to the "brave".

I agree with Queen Victoria, any who venture into battle are indeed brave. That doesn’t mean they don’t feel fearful, they do what they believe must be done.

She continues on to modern-day society and how bravery surrounds us every day by those who have dedicated their lives to help others in situations of need, which is almost always only noted when tragedy strikes.

Bravery is not limited to those who have risky jobs but rather casts a wide net over all actions that stand up in the face of adversity. Sharing her views on bravery when the world seems to turn a blind eye or may even attempt to ridicule the wronged, @ShadowsPub highlights many key points that are issues in today's world.

Bravery is often displayed in a spontaneous manner. There is a something that needs doing and people react.

@Monchhichi23

@Monchhichi23 digs deep to bring us a fable for the ages. Her story gives us a look at the lives of a few critters as they forage for food, meet new friends but always stay aware of the hunter whose land is nearby to where they live.

Alfie sat on the edge of the property line wondering how many little delicious grubs could be found on this untouched turf.

We follow Alfie the Armadillo as he struggles with wanting to find more delicious grubs to feast on but things are going to be difficult and his animal buddies don't seem to want to help him achieve his goal.

What will Alfie do, will he get to enjoy those delicious grubs?The Tale of Alfie the Armadillo - Not a Children's Story
