Have you ever flown over a glacier?

In the early 1970s, about 3% of the area of ​​Switzerland consisted of eternal ice. But since the middle of the 19th century, as in most other countries, a significant decline in glaciers has been observed in Switzerland as well.
And this glacial decline has intensified in recent decades. Between 1973 and 2010, the area of ​​all glaciers in the Swiss Alps declined by 28 percent to approximately 940 square kilometers. In the hot summer of 2015, glaciers have lost many times their mass compared to previous years.
This year, as in many parts of Europe, it has not been raining properly for months and it was overly hot. Climate change is likely to have further impacted on glaciers.
This is a good reason to take you on a short flight over one of the Swiss glaciers, the Plaine Morte between Crans Montana in the Valais and the Lenk in the Bernese Oberland. Enjoy the flight ...
