Today's dream: Staying in a horror house with murderous cousins

Expelled from school

The first part of my dream started at school. I was doing normal stuff like being in a cinema in the classroom, climbing walls and getting expelled for being naughty. Apparently, in one of my climbs, I fell over someone and they died from their injuries. I was justly expelled and I had to go to a house with my very big family.

My enormous family

When I say I have a big family, I mean it. It's made up of hundreds of people from all over the world. I don't know most of them and I keep meeting new family members all the time. That's why I didn't find it strange to be in this house filled with random people and to believe that they were all part of my family.

One of the things that I find most lovely about having a big family is that they all have different ideologies, hobbies and belong to different social strata and areas. Some work in STEM, others in business, others in music and humanities, and it's usually a "family trade" for each one of them.

I also often find them doing things that other sides of the family condemn. The communists against the capitalists, the druggies against the over-protective mums and dads, and there is a big branch of anarchists that was one of the branches that were closest to me growing up. They're the ones that do the strangest things known to me.

It was in their home that I was. It's a big house on a cold mountain, isolated from everything, where they used to spend most of their days having fun all the time (when normal people could afford to have fun in Venezuela), between parties, chatting, smoking pot and discussing unconventional ways to make money.

Under the shade of freedom

In this dream, they had chosen to record pornography in a dark room. This side of the family loved dark rooms, nightly settings and intimate activities. I was invited and I just stood there, watching with interest how the cameraman moved around the "action". I got bored pretty quickly, but while I watched, I was intrigued at how into it everyone was.

When I spent a lot of time with this family, it was usually in settings where I didn't have a lot of interest about what they were doing. I'm a bit asocial, completely asexual, and all I want is to either talk one on one or do things like building, drawing, reading, programming. This over-social setting was overwhelming for me.

In the living room

I quickly left to another room. I was in a kitchen in the middle of the living room. I saw my uncle washing dishes and I approached to help. There were two sinks for some reason, so I started to use the one to his right. I saw that he was having a hard time with cutlery that had very sticky food stuck on it. I grabbed a few of them and spent a lot of time feeling the stickiness and trying to get it out with a sponge and my nails. I spent most of my time cleaning a fork.

Then, came the troublemakers. Now I apparently mixed up my family with an American family. They were all white, spoke in English and had some very controversial ideas about life. They were the kind of family that covers up for other family members who are involved in wrongdoings but are still judgemental about each other's preferences under their own roof. In this case, a couple aunts were sitting in the porch in rocking chairs, talking about how one of our cousins had murdered people and was now being sought by the police.

Small horrors

I looked outside to the foggy garden and in my dreamy state, I imagined police cars coming, but the idea was just the ghost of the idea and it quickly faded. Someone opened a door behind me. I looked and it was two of these cousins. They were the sons of the aunts in the porch. A third one was missing. I don't quite remember what happened, but I know that they wanted to cover up for the third cousin, but there were a few family members in the home who didn't know about his misdeeds and these cousins wanted it to stay that way.

I somehow found myself talking about this cousin with someone else. I don't remember who, why or what I even said, but I know that the other cousins were terribly mad at me and cornered me against a wall. They were very strong and scary. I wasn't trembling, but in real life I would have been. They told me I shouldn't have spoken, but I was in the middle of the house, with everyone looking, and I was, after all, part of their family. I've always been kind of the "protected one" with quite a few family members, so after their warning, everything was still a bit homely, even though there was a lot of anxiety in me about the whole situation.
