Inktober #21 Drain
All those devices that we use day in and out are slowly draining something more valuable from us. That is our energy. At least that's how I feel when I have to multitask a lot on several devices at a time.
Here is a visual representation of that exact feeling.
And to see the process of creating this drawing:
Part 1. Coming up with the general look of the scene, building the body out of sticks at first.
Part 2. Adding the mass and details to this character.
Part 3. Inking the main lines of the drawing.
Part 4. Putting some shade where it needs to.
Whenever this happens I remind myself that the important thing is to be present, not let those things consume me.
