@surpassinggoogle UNTALENTED CONTEST: WHO AM I? (The Artist Within Me)
Hi, steemit friends! Happy Sunday to you all! Thought i should share a little figment of the artistic part of me...
I'm not an artist per se. And to be frank, it's never even occurred to me to undertake a study in visual arts. Nonetheless, I've since been inclined to believe there's an artist in me. At some point in time, i got so immersed with art works(paintings) that each time i found myself in the library to read, I'd subconsciously end up doing something else: feeding my eyes in the paintings in those fat ancient texts especially of western history and literature.
At times I'd set out to make drawings of the furniture in our living-room. But when i tried making a painting of my sister, she did not like the outcome... of course because it looked somehow. And that sort of killed my fun somewhat. Gradually, i ceased doing those absurd drawings; but it never really killed my fascination for art works.
I'm kinda new on steemit; so recently i began making new friends. One of them is @geetasnani. Sometime last week, she made a post with this lovely shot of some indigo colored flowers. She captioned it 'Colour Challenge: Saturday - Indigo' You can read it here I simply love that shot. I love beautiful aspects of nature, and i love indigo or color purple as it's generally classified.
It's been a very long time i last made some drawing; so long in short that i can't remember. So i decided to have some fun. I enjoyed the entire process. I got some crayons from a pupil in the primary section of my school to spice up my drawing. Here's what i came up with. I caption it
INDIGO ON WHITE PAPER
For sometime, i've been undecided whether or not to post this. I probably wouldn't have the balls to send out this link, were the 'contest' not for the UNTALENTED. I simply love the concept.
My students love the drawing.
My colleagues and siblings say it's beautiful.
And those are soothing.
I thought i should share.
Would really love to know your own views too - good or otherwise.

Woah, i saw this one. I think i even shared it on Facebook. i missed voting cos it came much later and this was the first edition. In my mind, i thought i had conclude with that, then started a second one. i am here now but my comment response to you will come much later. Speaking of busy, i don't have 5 mins of rest in a day in reality. My body has lost the ability to rest but that's me! It's no burden. You are awesome and i will pause for now. Here is little support
