@barrysamways your work looks good! I can even see positive progress from your earlier post to your most recent. It looks like you have a really good grasp of the technical process. Good enough to make a clear tutorial.
If you wanted to push yourself even more, I would suggest trying to do some with a little more spontaneity. Give yourself permission to loosen up and not feel like you have to have it perfectly shaded. It's more important to capture the essence of the person than to be technically correct.
Here is a good example of someone working in pencil. You can see the confidence in her marks but most importantly she knows how to push the drama of the subjects.
this may be the best comment I read since I started here on steemit. very sincere, I will definitely try your advise. it may really further my capabilities as an artist. if you get stuck doing the same thing all the time you can never really learn anything new I guess. I will keep this In mind with the piece I am currently working on. Thanks for taking the time to look at my posts!
