Something I have learned from seeing disaster cases is that some help is better than none.

For those who survive (or at least try to do so) in conditions that seem out of a war scenario, which seems little in more civilized places, it may be enough to last another day, one more hour, one more moment. Sometimes just supporting and moving on for another moment can make a difference.
