We already have this option.
One way: The image of the Steempeak profile in your post - you go to "Actions" and voilà you have "send STEEM to" :)
Another way: in Steemworld scroll down to Tools, there you find "transfer".
What? Too complicated? You don't have Steemworld open in a tab all the day? If I really want to send some of my hard-earned STEEM to another steemian that's not too much effort. Otherwise it would be enough to simply leave a vote...
This isn't about the functionality. As I mentioned in the post, obviously I know you can send someone some Steem, the issue is the UX for doing it. It's not like people don't donate to people. If you watch youtube or twitch or have seen a patreon page, you've seen this. The problem is our ux isn't set up for donations, it's more for transfers(same functionality/different idea) a donation is targeted at some specific piece of content, a post or a comment. The psychological effect of that is quite a bit different than money just appearing in someones wallet.
