People had warned her not to marry the balloon seller.
‘He will ruin you’ her mother spat at her before the ceremony.
So here she was, watching him on the road as he went to his night shift. Their life had been challenging. She saw his tired shoulders and the lines on his face. Her own body was sore with age and poverty as well.
Yet she was as joyous as those beautiful balloons floating behind him where ever he went.
