The coral conservation organization reported that only 5-10 percent of dead dolphins are discarded from the shore, that is, about a thousand dolphins or the entire young population die annually. If the trend continues, in 15 years the dolphins in the Black Sea will disappear.
The border police will use their boats and equipment to protect dolphins and control fishing in prohibited areas and will participate in documenting offenses against protected dolphin species.
