Bailey - Adopted Dog

This is Bailey and up till two weeks ago, she's been kept safe in SPCA. My friend adopted her from the SPCA Penang branch. We don't know her specific breed and that matters very little to us. She was born in SPCA on the 12th of February 2018 and is a fantastic companion for children. She's very playful and can be a little stubborn and picky with her food but apart from that, she's very loving and is easy to discipline.

When we first brought Bailey home, she was excited. I've been so happy to see an adopted puppy happy in her new home. We're trying to keep her away from the swimming pool but she seems to know her way around the house all too well. Bailey's collar was handmade by a friend of mine. It was a braided red and white collar with a small engraved gold tag. We bought her a doggy bed but she prefers our bed. We tried disciplining her by closing our doors when we go to sleep but she scratches our doors so much that we give her green cards every now and then.

When I was a kid, I had an Elmo stuff doll and now, it's Bailey's. Unlike other dogs, she doesn't play rough with her toy. Instead, she puts Elmo in her mouth, carries it everywhere or protects the toy with her small paws. We took her on walks around the neighbourhood and she’s encountered many larger dogs. She’s afraid to go near the larger dogs; instead, she barks at them from a distance while hiding behind our legs for protection.
