Food Movie #1 | Dive!: Living off America's Waste (2010)
Have you ever wondered why some people dumpster dive, how they do it and why we waste enormous amounts of perfectly edible food. The movie Dive!, directed by Jeremy Seifert is a very good introduction to dumpster diving.
We strongly recommend this movie to anyone who is interested in the topic of food waste, dumpster diving and sustainability.
From tmdb.org
Follow filmmaker Jeremy Seifert and his circle of friends as they dumpster dive in the back alleys and gated garbage receptacles of L.A.'s supermarkets. In the process they uncover thousands of dollars worth of good food and an ugly truth about waste in America: grocery stores know they are wasting and most refuse to do anything about it.
