Parking Lot Movie | The Documentary About a Bunch of Dudes Who Work at a Parking Lot
I enjoy watching strange documentaries and the other day stumbled upon this documentary called Parking Lot on Netflix. I think I'd seen it a few years early but only vaguely remembered it so gave it a watch. Pretty interesting documentary if you like quirky documentaries.
The movie is about a pay parking lot behind a restaurant in Charlotte Virginia and the guys who work there as well as the guy who owns it. It's actually a bunch of very educated philosophical guys working there which is some of the irony in the movie since the stereotype is probably that the parking lot attendant can't get a job anywhere else.
Many of the attendants are former philosophy students from the University of Virginia, one is a former professor and another is a musician who just likes the lazyness of the job so he can write songs and play his guitar and bring in some money.
To them it's much more of a parking lot. They have a little community amongst themselves. Also many of them seem to be deep thinkers and kind of enjoy the solice and just the nothingness as there's literally nothing for a parking lot attendant to do, the job is just to sit there.
This clip is a trailer, if you wanna give it a watch it's on Netflix, couldn't find a full version on Amazon. Let me know what you think.
