Creature Feature 22 (The Fen Fiend, work in progress, updated 061818)
Updates! I took a lot of Jeremy Suiter's advice for the updates on this one. In the end it crunched to be about CR 7.5 but I rounded down to CR 7 (due to the Vulnerability to Lightning and Sunlight Sensitivity). If anyone has time to playtest it and get back to me before I put the finishing touches on it, please do.
With the damage it deals, you're probably looking at CR 4, maybe even CR 5, if you don't want to have them trash people too quickly. They're fast and they have reach, too, so there's not a good way to escape from them.

Uh, yeah not CR 3. It's fast, has reach, and averages 46 damage per round with successful hits. With that Strength and a normal proficiency it will hit more often than most players. The low AC and what 64 HP? that will help them take it down quickly.
Still, it's damage is pretty impressive. It's saves are pretty difficult. Looks like you're giving it a +3 proficiency so it's attack will be a +9. That's super high. Most PCs at lvl 3 in my game have an AC of 15 or 16. A few levels higher it might raise by a bit, but +9 will still hit more often than not. You need an AC of 20 to make it 50%.
Also, bite should have the strength bonus to damage. Why isn't multi-attack including bite as an option, is that mostly reserved for opportunity attacks or?
Still working on it. The stats so far are very much not fixed. Anything crunch-wise beyond Ability Scores and damage die for size category are likely not tweaked yet. Good catch on the Strength bonus to damage. Thanks for your input, I'll be posting more stuff soon.
