Your DNA carries more than your genetic information, it also carries your history.
Your genetic DNA carries more than your genetic information, it also carries your history. I believe the next frontier in answering some of difficult questions surrounding racism and culture would come from better understanding of our genetic code. Its something I have been thinking about for awhile and its an area I would like to contribute further research to in the future.
Today I like to share some interesting views from Graham Hancock latest book: AMERICA BEFORE THE KEY TO EARTH'S LOST CIVILISATION. The interview with the RT team covers aspects of the book dealing with dogmatism in archaeology that has covered up 130,000 years of human history in the Americas and evidence of advanced civilisations that lived in the Americas thousands of years ago, which challenges colonial narratives of uncivilised natives incapable of high culture.

My curiosity with that fact that our DNA can answer some of these difficult question started all the back in 2016 when I was walking through a museum in Aruba that was highlighting the history of the island. One of the things I notice is the similarities in the artifacts to my own native island of Grenada and similar to those found on other islands. In the Caribbean is a strong European narrative of Christopher Columbus an his discovery but the makeup of the people among the islands just does not add up and especially the artifacts similarities among the islands. What we know for sure, are the narrative of Arawaks and Caribs, and the fact that the Caribs were hostile to Arawaks and then well you know the Europeans came in brought slaves from Africa to work on the plantation. Then you had a power struggle between the French, British, Dutch and Spanish for the islands. Base on the ancient writing that can be found in Aruba and other islands and given sharp differences among the Caribs and Arawaks, one has to wonder if these ancient people already traveled the routes taken by the Europeans. Were the African here long before the Europeans? Are some of my descendants from native South America tribes? These are some questions I have, my features are mixture predominantly African but mixture of other races. My mother has some interesting features, long face, soft indian hair as far as we know, we don't share relatives among the indentured laborers who were brought to the Caribbean from India.
Its interesting that the world is wrap in this immigration and migration battle with nations fighting borders and discriminating base on it. I often like to remind people, sometime the history you been told, is actually far different from what it actually is. I recommend Graham Hancock book and I urge people to go with an open mind, we probably a lot closer to the people we are trying to discriminate against base on where they were born. In the Caribbean, I have personally made it my duty to nullify this nonsense of foreigners and borders, we are one people, our history robbed from us, exploited with 400+ years of slavery and then yolk of colonialism and now imperialism. People always have a way of bringing up some bullshit treaty whether it from British islands to Dutch islands to Spanisn islands, I warn people to reject that nonsense. I hope we can see the big picture, I recommend digging into your DNA and seeing if what you know about history actually matches up to the history you been thought.
Hello, I just stumbled upon your post. We may have similar interests. I am a retired biomedical researcher. Back in 1985 I was one of the first to publish a paper showing microsatellite repeat heterogeneity, which later became the basis for DNA fingerprinting.
Great to meet you, we definitely have some interest...
