Well, in many ways, it is here the same as well. Hospitals only have to admit and treat you if you have a life-threatening emergency. Under Obama, insurance became mandatory and they had to take you, even if you had a disease like cancer in the past.
Before, if you had a known condition of any kind, insurances could deny coverage and you were on your own. And hospitals charge way more to people without insurance.
But even with, your co-payments are still high and many people have lost their homes and everything due to being sick...
And yes, we have that house payment as well :(
