Fixed our dryer today. Very easy fix, but feel like a handyman all the same.

If the blockchain is sleepy, I shall give you sleepy news! :)

Seriously though, finally got the dryer fixed today so hopefully we won’t need to head to the laundromat anymore on rainy days.

One of the nicest things to come with the house we are renting now was that rarest of appliances here in Japan—a clothes dryer.

Being the full-on, charge ahead and kick ass type that I am, I managed to break the belt in the machine by slamming a huge load of dripping wet clothes into the poor bastard and thus breaking the belt.

My beautiful wife @mslight2016st ordered the replacement, and today, after having a middle-of-the-night existential crisis last night, decided to finally get in there and fix it. Living in the now is liberating and inspires one to do these banal things, which become fun when infused with the freedom of just fucking being in the moment.

Being in the moment is a scary place for those of us not used to it, but really the only way to be, as all else is basically illusion.

Anyway, maybe I’ll save that for another post. The point is. The dryer works now.

Well done! A dryer fixed, clothes can now dry better than just on a line. Though to be honest, most of my clothes don't go in the dryer, so I just place them on the clothes rack.

Frank once fixed the old dishwasher at the old place all DIY too.

Sometimes it'S fun being in the moment and doing things like that. That's why I enjoy DIY crafts. I'm working on a coffer for us to put in our bedsheets and extra bedding, blankets and pillows. I'm using a cardboard box, and making it look like wood. I've done the gluing, undercoat, and basic paint. I need to hot glue over the edges to smotthen them out and see if that looks nice not painted, next to other painted areas. After that it gets more complicated, but I'm using acrylic paint. I hear that wood varnish can work on acrylic and cardboard paintings, but I'll ahve to research more once I get there.

Hell yeah! I replaced the timer control in ours last week. Small and easy and a good accomplished feeling!

is it a device for drying clothes?
we don't have them in Russia;)
very cute)
so it just blows warm air and dries clothes in such a way?
we use only our balconies or street (if it's a private house), or dryers which are just some ropes where clothes should be hung on;)
