Spinable Picture Frame
Demonstration of my spinable photo frame designed by myself.
My video is at DLive
The spinner itself is inspired by @ivan-g post with the two modular designs. The one on the left has the base unit which looks like this:
If you open it up you will see this triangular pattern:
Which you can fold up to make a unit that looks like an arrow:
To put the spinner together you will need to fold four units.
- Fold down the tail of the arrow in a T shape.
- Insert tail into the diamond head.
- Open the T shape and fold the extra diamond flaps inside.
- Recollapse the unit into the original arrow shape.
- Add each unit the same way.
To spin hold between two fingers /¤\ and blow towards the top.
Thank you for the banner @bearone and @steemulant
cool, where'd you hold the camera?
I have a heavy base lamp on my side table which holds my mobile phone.

About 60cm above the table. I don't like the quality of the video though and I had such trouble uploading it. I completely gave up last night and emailed support asking them to delete my dlive account as nothing was working. Still can't use half the menus, it's just not compatible with my phone :(.
I love your exploration into designing your own origami. It takes real talent to have an image in mind and find a way to fold it. I am still very much in the area of play with the interesting folds that emerge until I make something I like and then simplify the way I get there. The above was originally going to be a hinged cube that could be folded flat.
I've never tried streaming on my phone, just use obs on my laptop, ip cam if I want to use my phone(window capture> browser). Can't say I had the exact idea, just a spark of creativity which happens pretty rarely. I like the spinner frame idea ^^
Thank you :)

Ooo this is cool. I like how it spins. Something to keep the kids occupied for a bit :)
Lots of fun. I love making things th hat jump or spin or fold inside out. I once made a bunch of magnetic origami cubes for someone who was a fan of minecraft.
Glad you like my model.
