Pretty simple and concisely put @geekgirl. Curie uses a stone to kill two birds by discovering promising authors and rewarding those that find them. This helps greatly to allow some fair share of the reward pool at least, giving some space for appreciable earning and encouragement to those putting up quality on the platform rather than chaff...
