How to Raise Goats
Goats are a valuable investment for a sustainable homestead. They consume a variety of weeds and plants, generate fertilizer, require relatively little space, and can produce milk.
Educate yourself to care for them properly; they require food, shelter, protection from predators, water, and a milking schedule, plus you'll want to consider how to keep them from eating the plants you don't want them to eat.

I've got into keeping goats about a year and half ago, just to keep them from becoming tacos. The ones I picked were really cute; only one was a pure Dairy breed, a Saanen. They didn't know she was pregnant at the time I bought her; she gave birth about 2 months after I got her. I wasn't prepared! Anyway, I think yours look like Ober-haslis? They're a pretty colored breed.
Interesting video on goats. We had goats back home. We kept them for their meat. Your routine sounds elaborate then again our objectives were different and it was not a farm just a home with chickens and goats.

Goats are indeed an important addititon to any efforts at becoming sustainable. They are an ideal permaculture animal as they provide and perform many functions.
Goats are so cute. I'd love to get a couple Nigerian dwarf goats, but no room where I live now. Looking to move to a property with some space in the next year or so though, so hopefully then. :-)
