Steemian in Need - 100% of This Post Payout Will Go Towards Helping Free Quinn Eaker and Support the @gardenofeden

It is with a heavy heart that I make this post. I am making this video to hopefully raise more awareness for this situation, but also to raise funds to help out my friends. As I stated in the title, 100% of the post payout will be sent directly to the @gardenofeden account.
What Happened
Many of you know @quinneaker. He is a pillar of this community and the founder of the Garden of Eden. The GOE literally serve thousands of free meals to the homeless in their area through food raised in their garden. They also offer shelter and wholistic healing to those who are in need. They not only provide a great service for their local community, but for humanity as a whole through their generosity.
I will direct you to their POST for the details - but basically a man they knew entered their property and stabbed Quinn multiple times. Warning - the post contains graphic images of Quinn's stab wounds. If that wasn't horrific enough, Quinn has been in custody since Wednesday. The Garden of Eden crew have been fighting to have him released and actually just posted bail today. He is currently still in custody, but should be released on bail soon.
I had the privilege of meeting Quinn, along with @saramiller and @everlove at the Steem Creators Conference in Las Vegas. They are all such giving, grounded, spiritual and beautiful beings, that it seems unfathomable to me that someone could come into the beautiful haven of the Garden of Eden and attack Quinn. Especially considering that it was someone that they have housed and fed in the past.
How Can You Help?
Please consider supporting Quinn and the GOE crew. They are not only amazing human beings, but incredible members of this community. They will have extensive costs in the aftermath of this situation. Not only have they paid for bail, but think about the lawyer fees to fight this, and the medical costs for Quinn to heal. I somehow don't think he is getting the best medical treatment in that prison. Healing from this incident will be a process in and of itself.

5- Know a good criminal attorney that might give them a good deal? Quinn is going to need a good lawyer asap.

THANK YOU Lea!!! First to update you, we posted bail for Quinn yesterday and he was released almost 9 hours later. He is in pain and has limited mobility, but he is an amazingly resilient warrior.
We love you and are so grateful for your support and generosity. Appreciate your call to action to help us spread the word. We would especially like to reiterate that we are looking for a criminal defense lawyer as well as a civil prosecutor to proceed in our legal dealings.
So incredibly glad that Quinn is finally back home in the garden of Eden! Please give him a big hug for me!

Thank you Lea for sharing this. I've been heartbroken all day since I heard about it. Quinn is one of those people who helps others to the extreme, even if it means helping the wrong kind of people some times. For some reason, I believe this will benefit the @gardenofeden cause and message in the long run, even if we don't see how for now.

I am so heartbroken! I remember when @quinn first signed up on here. I thought he was the coolest dude. Then he started doing some fashion stuff -- selling wristbands and t-shirts (and still does), and he also did some awesome cooking videos from a hand-made clay oven. He made a vegetarian omelette using a knife he had made as well, and I remember he said that he liked to chop up the pieces "unevenly" as it added more texture. I dunno, that just stuck with me. He is so unique and willing to try new things. And I have always loved his stories of feeding, housing, and healing the homeless and aimless.
He seems like someone who really tries to live what he believes. I always was happy to see him and GOE people able to raise money on here. I am horrified by what has happened. I know he and the GOE have been under attack for years. This is nothing new. But an insider, stabbing him? And then police dragging HIM off to jail? That's devastating.
I'll hop on over and give what I can. Thanks for broadcasting the news. I know you guys met up in Vegas during the meetup, and I read his posts following the event saying how much he looked up to and respected you. So I guess you guys became friends there.
It's such a shame. What are they "charging" him with? And why did the attacker get off scott free? Do you have any info? I couldn't find anything on the post.
I don't know the whole story yet - but I know they seem to be posting updates as able on the @gardenofeden page. They just recently posted that he was charged with "Assault with a deadly weapon". So hard to know what happened... I'm sure more information will be out soon.
We definitely bonded in Las Vegas! I've been working on the @museproject with Shellie and Sara and so i've stayed really well connected with them even after Vegas.
Seeing the picture of Quinn hurt and bleeding crushed my heart. I heard that when they dragged him off, he couldn't even walk. So heartbreaking. He will have a long road to recovery as he tries to heal from these injuries. Luckily, it sounds like the stab wounds didn't hit any major arteries.

This blows my mind. I am trying to go through it rationally in my head, as a kind of law-enforcement-trained mind, but things just aren't adding up. Why would Quinn be the one thrown in jail? I am super confused!

Hi Beth! Yeah I don't really know the full story yet... I havn't wanted to bug Sara and Shellie for too many details while they are busy sorting everything out. He has been released on bail, so at least he's back at home right now.
The charges are assault with a deadly weapon...but I don't know much more than that. It sounds like this guy came on their property and attacked Quinn... so perhaps he was fighting back with a knife of his own? Maybe that's where the charges came from?
I know a lot of people are anxiously awaiting more info. Maybe part of why they havn't disclosed a ton yet could be that they are being cautious with what they say publicly until they get a lawyer. I know I would be.

aww thanks for supporting them @akashas!! This whole situation is so heart breaking. I'm just glad that Quinn wasn't stabbed in any major arteries or organs. Still, the road to recovery will be long and the fight with the legal system will be ugly. :(
