My2018: My First @dlive Video | 2nd Steemph.UAE Meet Up Highlights

It finally happened!

After more than a month of preparation, the Second SteemPH UAE Meet and Greet Event has been successfully concluded last Saturday, April 28, 2018.

It was in January when we first had our meet-up here in Abu Dhabi and from that night alone we already started talking about a follow up meeting. You could really feel the enthusiam of everyone in the group.

The Birth of @steemph.uae

Since then, I had been working at the background to have a community account for my fellow Pinoy Steemians in the UAE. Finally in February, with the approval of @steemph core team, @steemph.uae communal account was born.

Our eagerness for a second meetup became stronger as we gained new members and some others also laid low in posting.

A meet up can jump-start the enthusiasm!

The meet up was again held at Juancho's Billiards and Asian Cuisine in Abu Dhabi. The function hall we rented was just enough for our confirmed attendees (20 confirmed). As usual, the food was fantastic! I really love their dynamite chicken wings!

Our call time was 5:00pm and @pingcess, the @divinekids and I were already at the venue 30 minutes prior. We set up the place- blew pumped a fee balloons and put up the steemit banner.

To maximize time while waiting for otherd to come, we started by feasting on the food first before we proceeded with our agenda. We played some video tutorials about coins.ph transactions and steemph by @hiroyamagishi and @monkeypattycake respectively, which we all watched together while eating.

I talked about some important updates about our @steemph.uae community account and at the same time got inputs from everyone on how we can grow more as a group. We also had some serious discussions about keeping our passwords safe and powering up our individual accounts.

Another topic that I discussed was about plagiarism and copyright-- it is always best to remind everyone that original content is best and in other cases, we have to cite and credit our sources.

We also touched upon another important aspect of being a steemian which is Community Engagement. We are, after all, on a social media platform and should we wish to make it here on steemit, we have to actively interact with fellow steemians through commenting, joining groups and being active in off-steemit communities like discord.

After we finished with our agenda, we had fun shooting for our part on the music video being compiled by @kennyroy. We cannot wait to see how amazing we are on that video. LOL.

As if we did not have enough, we continued with a mini-karaoke concert by @appleskie, @virgo27 and @kennyroy.

No wonder, we did not notice the time but had to finally leave when the attendants started to clear our hall for another booked event.

It was really an evening worth while and we look forward to the second leg of our Meet Up series.
