The recent record deal Warner Music signed is the next step towards accepting AI into our own human sphere.

While a few years ago AI proved the ability to create classical pieces of music more or less equivalent to those famous classical composers we all know, shown by an emotionally moved audience when listening to one by AI generated music pieces performed by a classical orchestra at the famous London based Royal Albert Hall; AI is taking the next step: Now it not only can create music sheets, it also shows it can create the audio itself in a way we humans can define it as music that is indistinguishable from music created by human producers with a certain quality to it.

Soon all the debates about what music is; what music is pure or not; what artists are good or not; when someone is an artist; will take turns most of us do not realise yet.

Already for years, I strongly believe that AI will become so advanced, it can play the role of a human in such ways we humans will not be able to distinguish AI from a human.

This record deal shows the possibilities of AI and provides proof - at least to me - to the - future - abilities of AI. Sure, AI must take quite a few steps still to be able to create music of high complexity and become competitive with the top music artists, but there is no doubt in my mind, over time AI will be on-par with human producers, artists, singer, musicians. And when AI is on-par, there is no reason to believe it can outperform the humans!

That's interesting. I think you are right that soon AI will be indistinguishable from humans in many facets of life. I never thought of it as opening the door to a variety of philosophical debate. It essentially begs the question - "what is art." Can art be created by a robot or does it have to be by a human? Interesting to think about.

Some people say: Everything can be art. Others are defining art in ways it excludes many artists work. I think, anything that moves someone can be considered a work of art. No matter how it was created: humans, nature, or AI.

Yeah I think I'd agree with that.

I remember funny comments on the electronicbeats.net under a topic about AI Created Over 1000 Techno Names but few people saw and warn that it's just the beginning and if something is editable on the PC, there is a chance that it will be performed, sooner or later, by AI.

All those people will get 'slapped in their faces', these are probably the same people who believe in continuous slow change rather than that we are very close to a couple of major tipping points which will disrupt society as we know it.
