Battle of the Refresh Rates
You guys must have heard about the New 90Hz Refresh Rate Smartphones that are currently floating on the Market, in fact even I talked about that in a few of my Vlogs. So today is the day we talk about that aspect of Tech. Half a year ago we all used to have 60 Hz Display on all our Smartphones but that changed with the advent of OnePlus and their Fluid 90 Hz Display which created a lot of waves on the Market but that didn't have a whole lot of difference in the Competitiveness of different Smartphone Brands.
But a couple of months ago OnePlus officially announced that all future generation OnePlus devices will come with over 90 Hz Display and this is something that rattled a lot of Cages.
If you have used a 90Hz Refresh rate Panel then you will bet that you won't like the old 60Hz Panel anymore and since OnePlus announced that all future Devices will roll out the 90Hz Display it is now a race for other Smartphone Brands to match OnePlus or go ahead of them.
That is why now we see Mi announcing that they are also working on a 120Hz Panel but the thing is that Mi haven't disclosed if the panel is an LCD Panel or an Amoled Panel. From this I feel like they are trying to hold onto their Customer base and by saying that they are working on a 120Hz Refresh Rate Panel makes their Loyal Customers wait for the device rather than Buy a new Device.
